Breaking:
French Government Welcomes
Foreign Startups

I just recently arrived at the La French Touch conference here in New York City, having missed most of the morning program, and quickly learned that Axelle Lamaire, French Deputy Minister for Digital Affairs, made an announcement of a new program called FrenchTechTicket.Paris, with a competition that would provide the following to non-French entrepreneurs who want to create their startup in Paris:

  • a 6 or 12 month placement with an incubator in Paris
  • help with getting a Visa
  • help to relocate to Paris
  • prize worth 12,500 euros per individual renewable once

For those of us that have always dreamed of working and living in Paris, this may perhaps be a real way to get there. But how complicated and the criteria for competition is unclear. Details to come.

Do want live streaming of the La French Touch conference from New York today and tomorrow, and learn about the French startup and investment community. And follow the conversation at hashtag: #lftconf2015
