Salaries For Analytics Professionals Overall Rose 10.2% Last Year

 

The Digital Analytics Association (DAA) last week announced the results of the 2016 Digital Analytics Industry Compensation Study. Underwritten by Google, the report reveals compensation data for 16 digital analytics positions. The average base salary of a Digital Analyst in 2016 was $108,062.

According to the report, the highest average salary was reported by Chief Analytics Officers with a mean of $249,375, while analysts with the lowest salaries held entry level Digital Analyst/Customer Experience/Social Media Analyst positions earning an average salary at or near $60,000.

In 2015 – 2016, average salaries rose a mean of 10.2% with a median increase of 5.7% among those who were in the same position in both years. Over a five year period from 2010 to 2015 compensation rose a mean annual increase of 9.0% and a median increase of 5.7%

“The study reveals the growing importance and value of digital analysts to their organization,” said Marilee Yorchak, DAA executive director. “Compensation reflects the growing profession and the data shows the differences in pay by gender to be moderate with men earning more in upper level roles and women making more in the mid-level positions.”

The report provides in-depth analysis regarding compensation trends for professionals involved in every level of the digital analytics industry as well as the impact of gender on careers. This study was developed in direct response to the industry’s need for compensation and benefit information.
